This HOT TIP is probably THE MOST important when managing your Social Media accounts!
Please, please, PLEASE make sure that you have your username and password safely stored somewhere and that you can access all of your accounts.
This may sound like a no brainer but honestly it is a huge challenge for a lot of businesses! Maybe an intern set up your business Instagram account over the summer or maybe you have never been made an admin on your own business facebook or Linked in account as someone else was running it.
This hot tip is a shorter one because it is simply here to encourage you to go through the steps for every social media account that you have and make sure that you can access the account. either as a primary admin OR with the username and password. Make sure that you have your accounts set up on your phone as well so you can view them as your audience is.
You will need your username and password more times that you think to do things like:
– Add a new admin to your pages
– Make changes to key information like your page name and @ username
– Link Facebook and Instagram accounts
– Connect your accounts to a scheduling program like Later.com or Canva
to name a few…
